From the first day I spoke to Tony at McCarthys they stood out as being a cut above the other companies that I had spoken to. Our first sale fell through, but Tony, true to his word kept in touch, and was a great help throughout. On the move day, the three guys were fantastic, clearly a well-oiled machine, as we were done before 12 that morning. We didn’t have any issues at all, in fact the whole process was far smoother than I’d ever even dreamt of. I would 100% recommend McCarthys to anyone looking for a removal firm.

We were so impressed with the service provided by McCarthy's it couldn't have gone smoother. Tony and Simon were extremely efficient and at our new house they had everything in their respective rooms before I'd barely had chance to start unpacking! Not a single item damaged, everything was covered and protected well at both ends and we were very happy with the move. This was a big two day move for us and there was no stress involved thanks to them.

We recently used McCarthy's for my 86 year old mums house move. I have used them previously and been very impressed so we didn't even shop around for my mum as I wanted a firm that I could trust and make it as stress free for us as they could. Right from the start the office staff were great. We had a very bumpy ride with our buyers solicitors prior to removals and I would phone Rachel most weeks to see what they had available. She was so patient and understanding with our situation. Gary even set the dining table so my mum would be able to sit and look out into the garden whilst eating. So thoughtful! I highly recommend McCarthy's and wouldn't use anyone else.

The whole team at McCarthy's have been very helpful and friendly. Even when our move was delayed it was easy to get re-arranged (using the postponement waiver) The team were quick and careful at loading and unloading and were just nice people to have moving your stuff. The last thing you want is someone to not care and things end up damaged. I would recommend McCarthy's to anyone looking to move house or just put some bits into storage.

Excellent service from the team at McCarthy's. Lee and Richard (and some of the other lads on moving day) were all superb - great attitude, professional, friendly, courteous and very patient. We received a great service from the team at McCarthy’s and honestly couldn’t have done it without them. Absolutely amazing job from start to finish. They protected the carpets, bannister and doors at both houses, works tirelessly throughout the day and even held off moving the last of our furniture into our new house while the living room was carpeted. We’ll definitely recommend them in the future and even use them if we ever move again!

Who would want to move house on the hottest day ever? Adam and Gary did a fantastic job packing up and loading, despite the ridiculous weather conditions. They did a thoroughly professional job and I look forward to seeing them again when all my belongings come back out of storage.

Extremely professional when speaking to the office and arranging the quotation and the removal team were just fantastic! going the extra mile on the day to make sure we were happy with our move. Great experience of what is often referred to as one if the most stressful things you can do. Guys turned up when agreed and quickly got on with the packing and loading. They took good care of all our belongings were courteous and professional throughout. Ours was a 2 day move and they arrived as agreed at the destination address next day. Nothing was too much trouble for them - they just get on with the job. No damages! Excellent service ! Would recommend.

Ours was a complex move which involved removal to store, pack for international shipping, and ship to Europe. Steph held our hands through the delays in the completion of our sale and the ensuing complexities of moving from a "third" country after Brexit! The removal teams at both locations were friendly, helpful and very professional. The whole experience was much less stressful than it could have been . . . thank you to all at McCarthy's.

From my first contact, to the support during the stresses of waiting for completion, to the expert packing by Adam and removal by Adam, Jordan and Marty S it has been extremely courteous and efficient. This was a tough job for the team on a warm day to a flat on the second floor they were exemplary. I would not hesitate to recommend McCarthy’s.

We have just moved into a much smaller new property and McCarthy’s removals did the move from their storage to the new house. It was a difficult move because my husband was taken seriously ill 2 weeks before and I had to do the move on my own. I was very apprehensive as it was a complicated downsize with some items still returning to store. I needn’t have worried. From the minute the team arrived I felt reassured. Polite, well organised, extremely professional and respectful. It went very smoothly. Really hard workers. The best company for any work I have ever had for any work ever!
